NECEC:  A Community of Care Empowering Seniors 

The NECEC is excited to be partnering with so many wonderful community organizations for our annual NECEC: Empowering Seniors with a Community of Care . Our community of care partners include;

· Richland County Sheriff's Department-   Project H.O.P.E.

· AARP South Carolina

· Able South Carolina

· South Carolina Department on Aging

· Blanketing Families, Inc.

· Senior Resources Inc.

A presentation on "Self-Preservation" will be given by a local celebrity and the newly crowned Ms. Orange Hopes Senior Initiatives Queen will be in attendance. Good Samaritan Auto Care and other community resources will also be available along with door prizes and giveaways. During this event, food will be distributed as donated by a local Midlands Area Food Bank. This event promises to be one that empowers, informs, and assists seniors with connections to community resources while meeting other seniors in the community and having fun.

Single Parent Families "Refresh for Success" Day

Join us for a day dedicated to you as a single parent and your family. This event is specifically designed to offer a refreshing break for you and enrichment activities for your children before the new school year begins. The NECEC (Northeast Columbia Empowerment Coalition), P3 Passion 2 Pay Project and Rooted Vibrationz have partnered together to offer this event.

Refresh for Success will provide a supportive environment where you can connect with other single parents and gain valuable insights on navigating the challenges of single parenthood through self-care pampering services, financial literacy and other empowering tools.

 

☆Pampering services for parents along with resources to support financial literacy will be provided.

 

☆South Carolina Federal Credit Union and TD Bank will be the financial literacy providers.

 

☆SC State Housing and several local Realtors will also be in attendance to provide home buying information.

 

☆Children in the household between ages 5 to 12 will receive enrichment services including holistic techniques focusing on self-care to better prepare for the upcoming school year.

 

☆ School Supplies will be given to students.

☆ Food will be served and given to every family in attendance.
